About Me
Nicholas True is a producer, teacher, and performer currently based in the Murfreesboro, TN area. He has been teaching Private Vocal Lessons for 9 years and maintains an active studio of 15-18 students. He is currently employed at World Outreach Church as their full time Next Generation Choir Coordinator, working with both Kids Choir and Teen Choir. These choirs are around 100-300 students ranging from grades K-12. In this position, he produces the church performances as a member of the church's creative staff. He is actively involved in musical theatre. He has taught, performed, and directed locally, appearing at the Center for the Arts in Murfreesboro and Arts Center of Cannon County. He has worked as the music director and assistant music director on shows such as Last Five Years, Hello, Dolly!, Titanic: The Musical, and Dogfight - the Musical, Bring it On the Musical, Alice By Heart, Oklahoma!, The Music Man. Assistant Direction on Sister Act the Musical, and Direction on Peter Pan, Tarzan the Musical, and Disney's Newsies.
He has a Bachelor in Music, with a concentration in Music Industry from Middle Tennessee State University. He studied voice with Dr. Christine Isley-Farmer all 4 years of his college career.
In his spare time, he loves to spend time with wife, his daughter, and family, as well as finding new ways of creating music.
